This is closer to the deck I played at the Southeast qualifier, since I was running some events in that one (I think . I feel like the metagame is seeing the resurgance of weenie decks, and the rise of ally decks to a level of prominence they didn't have before. So, this deck has some slots devoted towards trying to manage them. I didn't skimp on the Rutor's Hand, because the plan is for two RH'd biggins by midgame. The events should stack to eventually form a significant hindrence towards the weenie deck's flow. It might take until you've churned through a significant amount of your deck, but the weenie deck/breeder is a threat that grows over time, and eventually becomes unmangeable, so perhaps this is sufficient. Of course, Arenthebes. The deck is going for light intercept anyway, and he shoe-horns right in. The three FSR's are thought of mainly as weenie defense, although it can be useful in other ways, possibly being flowable on any given political action, if you need to dump them. For allies. there's a few things: theft/add'l strike combat eats up the combat monster allies, and lots of them don't deal well with you going to long range. Kindred Segregation should be a hoot if it goes off. This basically took the place of domain challenge, since I decided I had enough other side elements that tried to manage weenie vampire hordes. Also, Nightmare upon Nightmares affects non-mortal allies, although at low numbers you might be helping out the ally deck (which is all right, since decks built around the expensive, unique allies aren't a problem and are, IMO, cool). There are lots of cards I wish were in the deck. You might note I dropped the dominate angle entirely, aside from the lone "Ah Ha!" Conditioning. Perhaps the overall strength of the defensive package is weaker for it, but I opted for the safety of better card flow. Besides, you should be pulling off some pretty hefty Minion Taps, so you have respectable bloat to fall back on. Likewise, the equipment slots were carefully chosen. Permacept is key if you are going to have much success at all as a blocker, and goes very well with Black Sunrise. Ranged agg is one of the things that can wreck your day, so Flak Jacket made the cut. Seal gives a nice bleed boost and for/FOR for anti KoR (and more dominate for anyone who wants to put that back in). .44 is the solid choice, although obviously a lot of other weapons looked good. As far as ousting goes, assuming you are RH'ded you should be able to bleed with each minion every turn, and then either untap and take a side action, or just stay untapped to block. Almost everyone has +1 bleed, so that should be a steady loss of 4 pool/turn (or at least that much pressure that must be consistently dealt with). It's not the best, but it also doesn't take any cards, meaning there's nothing to jam on or get in the way of your combat flow.
